Albert Paley, one of the world’s prominent metal sculptors has collaborated with the City of Boynton Beach’s Art in Public Places. A new outdoor exhibit called, “Albert on the Avenue”, consists of six massive sculptures totaling 17 tons. The national exhibit is an easy- to-walk, self-guided, 30 minute tour along E. Ocean Avenue in the City’s Cultural District. Albert Paley’s descriptive commentary of each of his sculptures can be accessed via a smart phone connecting with a QR code on each of the artwork plaques.

A colorful iconic sculpture, titled “Cavalcade”, reaches 40-feet into the sky, making it the tallest public art in the Palm Beaches. “Cavalcade” is a permanent sculpture, commissioned by the developers of 500 Ocean and complies to the City’s one-percent public art ordinance. The five additional Paley sculptures are on are on loan for the year long exhibit ending in Sept, 30 2018. These artworks are for sale with a percent commission benefitting the City of Boynton Beach Art in Public Places program.

Albert on the Avenue will attract seasoned art patrons and buyers as well as national and regional visitors to the City of Boynton Beach. This exhibit contributes to the City’s branding, economic development and promotes the Town Square Boynton Beach redevelopment project.

Since 2011 the ABGProjects has provided the community and it’s local artists and outdoor curated gallery for all to enjoy. The colorful and vibrate murals allow  visitors, filmmakers, videographers, news agencies, and tour professionals a free backdrop for a variety of purposes from family photos, grauduation photographes, sports teams and even a few music videos free of charge.


The artists that participate donate their time and talent to the project which extends throughout The Boynton Beach Art District, many time working with students and children’s organizations to produce work that educates and enhances our day to day experiences of art.

The funds you donate will go to the cost of paint and paint supplies for the artists, childrens organizations, and schools that participate each year since 2011.

Please join me in raising the funds needed to initiate and complete this years Re-Paint It! of the murals.

6th Annual Golden Fest Includes Hurricane Recovery and Relief Drive # 2: USVI and PR.


Golden Fest

Sunday, October 8th 2017 for 1-10 p.m. Rolando Chang Barrero will host the Boynton Beach’s 6th Annual Golden Fest. The Golden Fest began on Rolando’s 50th birthday as a token of appreciation to the artists and community in 2001. The festival has become a day long showcase of art, music, and performances by young emerging artists and musicians in South Florida. All are invited to stroll the district embellished with murals, visit with the various resident artists studios, meet with some of the best talent in Palm Beach that will be setting up tents throughout the area and enjoy treats for from the food trucks and specialty vendors.

The Industrial Park area will also be the Art Synergy’s Hurricane Recovery and Relief Drive # 2: U.S.V.I. and P.R., the second large scale relief effort Rolando Chang Barrero has organized since the IRMA Hurricane paved the devastating path for Hurricanes Maria and Jose. 

Art Synergy, Mayor Steven B. Grant of Boynton Beach, Aquanette Tyson-Thomas, Purple Door Entertainment, The United Way of Palm Beach, United Way of U.S.V.I., and of Puerto Rico will be sponsoring the supply drive to help fill 100 shipping containers for victims.

Recovery and Relief #1
Director of the Boynton Beach Art District, Rolando Chang Barrero who opened the season with Palm Beach County’s longest running and award winning Art Walk at the Boynton Beach Art District last week which included the first “Recovery and Relief Supply Drive” for IRMA victims of the Florida Keys. Rolando Chang Barrero, a long time volunteer at the United Way, contacted the Mayor of Boynton Beach, Steven B. Grant, who joined him on the herculean effort which included driving a 17 foot truck to the lower keys last Sunday.

Due to the tremendous losses and hardships due to the devastating hurricane Mayor Steven B. Grant of the City of Boynton Beach, Lexi Savage of The United Way, and Rolando Chang Barrero of The Box Gallery will be organizing a supply drive this Saturday along during the Art Walk.
We are need of volunteers to assist collecting donations, which are to be sent to help our neighbors and friends in the Keys.
The Art Walk will go on as planned with open studios, live music, vendors, as planned.
If you are interested in becoming a vendor please reserve your spot today.
